INRIM, Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica) is the National Metrology Institute of Italy. INRIM's task is
to carry out and promote scientific research in metrology, new technologies and materials. INRIM carries out studies
and research on the realisation of primary standards for the basic and derived units of the International System of
units (SI), assures the maintenance of such standards.
LMT Lichtmesstechnik GmbH Berlin has been manufacturing photometers, colorimeters, goniophotometers, and other
light measurement instruments in Berlin, Germany since 1974. Since the very beginning, LMT has aimed to develop, produce,
and support highest precision photometric measurement instrumentation, ranging from hand-held instruments for light
measurement to complex automatic goniophotometric measurement systems for the general lighting and automotive industry.
Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) is the National Metrology Institute of Switzerland. Roughly 50 % of its
activity is research and development on basic and applied metrology, about 20 % covers work on legal metrology, with
much importance attributed to the provision of commercial calibration and measurement services for industry and research.
The optics laboratory of METAS is very much involved in pre-normative and normative work at national, regional and
international level.
Metrosert is the National Metrology Institute of Estonia. Metrosert has participated in various projects related
to development of standard detectors based on silicon photodiodes for optical radiometry. Metrosert has skills in modelling
and manufacturing of special type of photodetectors implementing commercially available photodiodes.
OSRAM is one of the three big manufacturers of lamps, of both traditional types and new and rapidly developing
LED solutions. In this context, the role of the "Central Laboratory for Light Measurements" is the dissemination of
OSRAM light standards for calibration of measurement equipment to all quality departments in plants worldwide, the
development of new and improved measurement and calibration procedures, and the support of metrological tasks at the
demand of departments.
OSRAM Opto Semiconductors (OS) has continued to stay the world's second largest manufacturer of optoelectronic
semiconductors for the illumination, sensing and visualisation sectors. OSRAM OS combines extensive know-how in semiconductor
technology, opto-electronic and converter materials and packages under one roof.
